Purpose/Why: Digital Animation is design to introduce youth to the creative and technical world of animation through hands-on learning and interactive projects.
Cost: $10 Members / $15 Non-members
Activity Description: LEGO Animation – Campers will create stop-motion films using LEGO bricks and mini-figures. They’ll learn how to plan a story, build sets, and capture frame-by-frame animation using iPads. Throughout the week, students will explore concepts like camera stability, lighting, and movement, ultimately producing their own short animated film. • 2D Cartoon Animators – In this session, campers will design original characters and bring them to life through digital 2D animation. They’ll learn key animation principles such as timing, squash and stretch, and expression, while using animation software to create short cartoon scenes. By the end of the week, each student will have a fully animated project showcasing their character and story.
